Weekly Lists #162: 2019 Travelling Goals

It’s fun to dream, isn’t it? And sure, none of these particular dreams might come to pass… But, well, you know. At least this way I can imagine what it would be like if they did come to pass? And as it so happens, I actually did pretty good on last year’s travelling goals… So who knows, maybe this year will lend itself of more of the same? Anyways, here are my 2019 travelling goals!

1. United Kingdom

This will always be a feature on any travelling goals list, I think. In particular, I would love to go back to Wales and do the northern half of it. And of course, there’s so much of Scotland that I still need to (re)visit. And with that, I’m not even getting started on all the manors and cities that England still has to offer! Basically – I could just keep going here!

2. The Netherlands

As long as you’re 25 or under, you get to use the public transport quite cheap in Belgium and in the Netherlands. Now, sure, “quite cheap” in Belgium is still relative, but in the Netherlands in particular, you can get just about anywhere for relatively little money.

As this will be the last summer for me and the bf that we actually are “25 or under”, I would love to take that opportunity to maybe road trip through the Netherlands? We went to Tilburg for a day this past summer, and to The Hague just before Christmas and, well… It made me realise how much of the Netherlands I still haven’t seen. Which is ridiculous, really, considering it’s literally next-door. Well, next-country. Same difference, really, right?

3. USA

And we even have some semi-concrete plans for this! I don’t want to jinx it, but, come Easter break? I might just find myself roaming the streets of New York City!

4. Germany

Another of those countries which I really should have seen more of than I actually have. And what I have seen of Germany? Well, it’s only made me more keen of visiting the rest of it as well! From Bavaria, to the Black Forest, to going back to Munich or to finally visiting Berlin and maybe even re-discovering Saarland (because, you know, when you have the same name as a river, obviously it’s your moral duty to explore every inch of the surrounding region)… Germany has so much great history, nature and culture, and I would really love to visit that more.

Also, I completely failed at this one last year. So I’m hoping to make up for it this year :p

5. Belgium

Because, as stupid as it sounds, I keep on discovering more beautiful parts of Belgium that I never knew were there. Which, you know… Is kind of a shame. Especially considering I love exploring other countries so much. I really should know my own country better!

Where do you want to travel to this year? Any locations in particular that you have planned for already? Be sure to let me know below! And of course, feel free to check out all my weekly lists!
