My 2017 Spring-TBR

So Winter is officially over, which means it’s time for a new post on what books I want to read. Let’s be honest though – this is my Spring TBR. It’s not like I’m actually going to get any of these read, right?

Let me start by explaining to you why I’m so cynic when it comes to my reading. First off: I’m absolutely horrible at reading books I “have to” read. Even books I get as a present, I tend to postpone. And that’s only because I feel like I have to read them in order to properly show my gratitude to the people who gave them to me! (And yes, that’s actually how my mind works.)

Second: spring is, hopefully for the last time, the time where I have to hand in my dissertation. This time, it’s a master’s dissertation. It’s also about quantitative analysis. AKA: a load of work.

And finally – my journalism internship starts in May. And quite frankly, I’m just plain old not counting on being able to get anything read once that internship starts. (Also known as: the reason why I’m trying to read as much as possible for my reading challenges now)

No matter, though, because I still really wanted to do a Spring-TBR, so here you have it: some of the books I’m hoping to read this Spring!

1. Meet me at Beachcomber Bay, Jill Mansell: I’ve said this a thousand times, and I’ll say it again: Jill Mansell never disappoints. So naturally I’d want to read her latest novel!
2. Between Sisters, Cathy Kelly: Somehow, I completely missed this one being published. Now, first of all: that’s just completely not done. Second of all: it’s Cathy Kelly, of course I want to read it!
3. Secrets of a Happy Marriage, Cathy Kelly: Another Cathy Kelly, but I actually have this one lying ready. Hopefully, that should mean I’ll be more likely to actually read it. Right?

4. The Rossie Effect, Graeme Simsion: I technically already started this one, so I guess I’ll just keep it to: I’d like to finish it.
5. The Player, Denise Grover Swank: I got the first book of this series for free via the Kobo reading app, and unfortunately the tactic worked: I now want to read the second book in the series. I already have it downloaded on my phone, so here’s to hoping I’ll get to it pretty quickly, maybe?
6. Healing you, Katana Collins: Another Kobo-find, another book where the tactic worked. Seriously, Kobo, you’re going to be the end of me if you keep it up with the fun first books! Or at least – the end of my wallet!

7: Kate Perry, Laurel Heights-series: And Kobo strikes again! I managed to get the first book ànd two novella’s for free in this series. So naturally, I found myself then wanting to read the rest of it. Seriously, that tactic works, okay?

Anyways, there you have it! That’s 9 of the books on my Spring-TBR. It’s quite heavy on the chicklit, I know, but, well… I’ve got to be realistic on some level, right? And if that’s not going to be the amount of books I read, it might as well be the type!
What are some of the books on your Spring-TBR? And did you already read any of these? If so, what did you think? Be sure to let me know below!
