Book Tags #21: The Festive Christmas Book Tag

It’s been a while since I’ve done any type of a tag, hasn’t it? Luckily, Christmas turns out to be just about the perfect time of year for that – so many tags, so little time… But this Festive Christmas Book Tag? Well, I just couldn’t not do it, after I came across it on GirlReading’s Youtube!

1. Christmas dinner

A fictional family you would like to spend Christmas dinner with?

I mean, the obvious one here would be the Weasley’s, and honestly – as soon as I saw this question? That’s what I thought I would go with.

Only, well, then I thought of Little Women‘s March-family. And Narnia‘s Pevensies. And now I just need more Christmas dinner’s so I can do one of each, please?

2. Gift ideas

A bookish item you would like to receive as a gift?

I mean, is just “books” an option?

If not, I have an entire gift guide ready to answer this question :p

3. Christmas elf

A fictional character you think would make a perfect Christmas elf?

George Weasley – I mean, he’s basically Buddy The Elf already, right? Alternately, Moril Clennensson from the Dalemark-quartet feels like he could be a pretty darn great elf as well!

4. Musical books

Match a book to it’s perfect Christmas song.

I really considered just putting the Harry Potter-soundtrack here with the Narnia books, but the bf told me that would be very wrong of me, so I’m not going to do that.

Instead, we’re going for the lovely combination of Astrid Lindgren’s The Children of Noisy Village and this song:

You see, there’s a Christmas scene where they all go visit their family in giant sleights, and that used to be maybe my favourite Christmas scene in any book ever. And this song just always reminds me of it!

5. Bah Humbug

A book or fictional character you’ve been disappointed in and should be put on the naughty list?

Dumbledore.

6. Nice list

A book or a fictional character you think deserves more love and appreciation and deserve to be put on the nice list?

The Dalemark-series. Stravaganza. Everything by Cathy Kelly. BELGIAN AUTHORS. (no, I’m not bitter, why should I be?)

7. Red, Gold and Green

A book cover that has a wonderfully Christmasy feel to it.

I mean, just check out this month’s Instagram posts?

8. Under the Christmas tree

A book or series you love so much, you want everyone to find under their Christmas tree this year so they can read it and love it too?

From the books I read this year? Definitely either The Time Traveler’s Wife or Red White and Royal Blue. (more favourites to come in the round up from this year!)

Feel free to consider yourself tagged if you haven’t done the festive Christmas book tag yet – or leave your links below if you have! And of course, have a look around the rest of this year’s blogmas posts while you here!
