New Releases: March 2018

Yay! It’s time for a new month! And at least 20 more days of that month will be winter so I get to ignore that I’m about to turn into a sneezing mess! (Hay fever, gotta love it, right?) And of course: the new releases March 2018 is giving us a lot to look forward to!

1. The Witch Doesn’t Burn In This One, Amanda Lovelace

The witch: supernaturally powerful, inscrutably independent, and now—indestructible. These moving, relatable poems encourage resilience and embolden women to take control of their own stories. Enemies try to judge, oppress, and marginalize her, but the witch doesn’t burn in this one.

I read Amanda Lovelace’s first poetry collection, The Princess Saves Herself In This One in January and absolutely loved it (review coming soon!) So fo course, the moment I saw this second book was about to come out?

Expected publishing date: March 6th (Goodreads, Amazon)

I Have Lost My Way, Gayle Forman

Around the time that Freya loses her voice while recording her debut album, Harun is making plans to run away from everyone he has ever loved, and Nathaniel is arriving in New York City with a backpack, a desperate plan, and nothing left to lose. When a fateful accident draws these three strangers together, their secrets start to unravel as they begin to understand that the way out of their own loss might just lie in helping the others out of theirs.

An emotionally cathartic story of losing love, finding love, and discovering the person you are meant to be, I Have Lost My Way is bestselling author Gayle Forman at her finest.

I absolutely loved If I Stay and Where She Went, which meant that of course this was going to be on this list. I mean, obviously I love that there’s, again, some music element, and yeah, I’m just looking forward to this book!

Expected publication day: March 27th (Goodreads, Amazon)

Restore Me, Tahereh Mafi

Juliette Ferrars thought she’d won. She took over Sector 45, was named the new Supreme Commander, and now has Warner by her side. But she’s still the girl with the ability to kill with a single touch—and now she’s got the whole world in the palm of her hand. When tragedy hits, who will she become? Will she be able to control the power she wields and use it for good?

Again, I really loved the previous books in this series. In this case, though, that makes me kind of scared to read a fourth book? I know I’m always saying that I wish I could know what happened to all the characters after the book ends… Now that I’m faced with actually finding out, though? I’m scared. I mean, what is this tragedy going to be??

Expected publication date: March 6th (Goodreads, Amazon)

Frat Girl, Kiley Roache

For Cassandra Davis, the F-word is fraternity—specifically Delta Tau Chi, a house on probation and on the verge of being banned from campus. Accused of offensive, sexist behavior, they have one year to clean up their act. For the DTC brothers, the F-word is feminist—the type of person who writes articles in the school paper about why they should lose their home.

With one shot at a scholarship to attend the university of her dreams, Cassie pitches a research project: to pledge Delta Tau Chi and provide proof of their misogynistic behavior. They’re frat boys. She knows exactly what to expect once she gets there. Exposing them should be a piece of cake.

But the boys of Delta Tau Chi have their own agenda, and fellow pledge Jordan Louis is certainly more than the tank top wearing “bro” Cassie expected to find. With her heart and her future tangled in the web of her own making, Cassie is forced to realize that the F-word might not be as simple as she thought after all.

So this sounds like it could be either absolutely amazing. Or absolutely horrible. Both options, at this point, seem equally possible. And I’m quite interested to see which one it will turn out to be!

Expected publication date: March 27th (Goodreads, Amazon)

And that’s that, those are the new releases I’m most looking forward to in March! What other books are coming out that I should be keeping an eye on? Be sure to let me know below!
