Christmas Snacks

For the twelve days of Christmas, I’ll post one list of 5 Christmas-related things each day. Today: 5 of my favourite Christmas snacks!

Now of course there had to be both a Christmas Food and a Christmas Snacks post in this series (you can find the Food one here!) – because those are, of course, totally not the same thing – so let’s get started!

1. Christmas Popcorn

I basically love just about everything LaurDIY does, and these snacks are all amazing – but the Christmas Popcorn in particular I just love – it’s so yummie and it looks delicious too!

2. Cookies

I have to admit, I’m normally not that huge a cookie-person, but around Christmas, I love baking them, decorating them and – of course – eating them. My two favourites would definitely have to be oatmeal cookies and shortbread.

A couple of years back I went through a huge oatmeal-period but, of course, as it always happens, just as I’d bought a new box, I grew tired of it. In an attempt to actually be able to finish it all, I made a huge batch of oatmeal cookies (mix the oatmeal with an equal amount of sugar and half as much butter, role it up in plastic foil, let it set in the fridge for an hour, cut into slices and bake for 20-30 minutes on 250°C, or until golden brown) and they were so delicious my dad actually had to go out and buy more oatmeal – just so I could make more cookies!

3. Homemade Apple Cider

Yes, drinks are also snacks – and trust me, you want to make this one. I made it myself, like, 3 times already, and I love it so muuuuuch! It’s so delicious, it tastes great cold ànd warm, and you can actually make it sugar free (which I did) and it still tastes great!

It’s the third drink made in this video, and I’d definitely advise you to try it out!

4. Leftovers

Any kind of leftovers on toast – salmon, turkey, side dishes – if you’re cool with it, put your left over potatoes on there as well! Few things are as delicious as leftovers, any ways, and when they’re Christmas leftovers? Bring me a spoon!

After all, if even Gordon Ramsay says so… 🙂

5. Many, many others

Just check this link out, you’ll have inspiration for the entire season!

So there you have it – 5 of my favourite Christmas-sy snacks! What do you like to munch on during Christmas break? Be sure to let me know below, along with any other tips or hints you might have!
