My Christmas Wishlist

I don’t think I’ve ever really written a post like this. And realistically, there’s a pretty good reason for that. You know how all year round you have this huge list of things you want? Or might want? And then, as soon as your birthday or Christmas or any other occasion comes round – you just forget completely what you want? Yeah, that’s me. I’ve got nothing. As a general rule. None the less – here’s my Christmas wishlist!

Purse

So here’s a random, fun fact you might not have known about me: I’m a bag-person. I don’t care too much for shoes, or coats. For both of those I basically have one pair for summer, one pair for winter, and that’s it. Don’t mind make-up or jewelry too much either. But bags? That’s where you’ve hit my weak point.

I love to have some variation, I love the ones with all the pockets, I want all the different colours. Coincidentally, I also tend to use my bags until they’re absolutely knackered. I’m talking rips, the band breaking or tearing, the fabric hardening because of my water bottle always opening up by accident. (Even though the bf’s told me about a million times to just get a new water bottle, but really, it’s not the water bottle, it’s me, because even the supposedly “unbreakable” ones end up exploding in my bags eventually)

Anyways, I want a new bag. I always want a new bag, really, but this year, there’s one in particular I’ve had my eye on for a while. (Well, I say one…)

Michael Kors

I’ve been falling in love with the Michael Kors purses for a while now, but there’s a constant problem: they’re too small. You see, I carry  a lot  of stuff around with me every day. And my purse, and this has to be a guarantee, has to be able to handle all of that. Both weight- and volume-wise. Suffice it to say: so far, that hasn’t always been the case.

Now, yes, I’m aware that I could just carry less stuff around with me. I know. But it’s just not that simple. It just isn’t, okay? That’s why this Michael Kors bag feels like it might be a good fit for me. (Don’t worry, I know my taste is expensive )

Food

Nope, I’m not asking for food. What I would love? Though. Some things to make food with. More specifically, I’ve been eyeing bread makers for a while now, as well as slow cookers. Seriously – the bf is not really much of a cook. But even he is able to throw stuff into a pot with set times inbetween the throwing. Well, at least I hope so.

And as I love bread maybe a little bit too much? Well, the bread maker should be no question.

Books

Now, if we’re being honest, this list could be my entire Goodreads TBR. I took pity on my family, though, and decided: maybe not. Or, you know: just make a selection 🙂

This year’s selection (I try to get some variation in, each year):

  • 1984, George Orwell
  • The Secret History, Donna Tartt
  • Tuesdays with Morrie, MItch Albom
  • The Time Traveler’s Wife, Audrey Niffeneger
  • Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore, Robin Sloan
  • The End of Your Life Bookclub, Will Schwalbe
  • Dalemark Quartet, Diana Wynne Jones

Which leads me to my question for you: which books on this list should I most be hoping for? Which have you read and did you really enjoy? And of course: what’s on your wishlist, this year? Be sure to let me know below!

(And if you’re interested: go ahead and read the rest of this year’s blog-mas posts)
